The Wine Journey

www.WineMe.co.za, is the brainchild of Le Roux and Bianca. After working in the wine industry for a number of years and slowly but surely becoming an avid wine collector, Bianca teamed up with her fiance, Le Roux ( Owner of ArtificialStudio.com) to answer a few questions which frustrated both of them endlessly; ‘How do we make it easier to plan a wine tasting tour ourselves? Share a wine tasting tour plan with friends, especially through facebook or even invite them along? How could we determine which estates we should visit and which estates stock and produce the varietals we enjoy? ; and after a number of occasions where we found ourselves standing on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon in front of a closed wine estate we wanted to visit ‘ How can we ensure this does not happen to us again or to anyone who wants to visit an estate in South Africa?’

It was a long journey to answer these questions and slowly but surely the idea formulated into reality. Making it easier for the average Joe to answer these questions, without it costing an arm and a leg , is our passion. Through over a year of hard work, dedication, passion and time, FaceBook Connect, Google routes, enough programming to make even a passionate programmer to turn yellow,  consultations with experts from many fields and more data capturing and research than I care to mention, www.WineMe.co.za was born.

Now you, I and in fact anyone in the world can plan a wine tasting tour through South Africa’s Wine lands, share your trip with your friends on Facebook, download your directions to GPS or print them out, rate your experience so that your friends and anyone else using WineMe can enjoy the journey as much as you did, or didnt..
