Blanc De Noir

Blanc de Noir [bblahngk-duh-NWAHR] is the French term used for "white wine from red grapes" and describes the style of wine produced when the skins are quickly removed from the juice after the grapes have been pressed. This prevents the pigment in the dark skins of the grapes from transferring too much colour to the wine produced. The wines may vary in colour, ranging from pale pink to salmon and they even be clear.
