[So-veen-yawn BlahN] is a noble white wine varietal. Sauvignon Blanc comes in many styles dependent largely on the viticulturist, and tend to either be grassy or fruity and citric. Sauvignon Blanc has a quite distinctive palate and is one of the easier varietals to recognize. Flavours and aromas includes herbaceous grassiness, weeds, lemon grass, gooseberry, green olive, asparagus, grapefruit, lime and melon.
