Touriga Nacional

[too-REE-gah na-SHUN-al] is a red wine varietal. Although this vine produces some of the lowest yields, with vigorous growth and requires severe pruning, it is at the same time considered one of Portugal’s premium grapes. It is often used as a blending partner, with its high tannins and black fruit flavors, it adds structure and body to wines.
